Sandy grew up on Sydney's Northern Beaches and made her first public performance at the age of nine years.  By the age of 18, Sandy had already embarked on her professional singing career that has taken her Australia wide and overseas.  Her extensive experience to date includes duos, pub bands, session work, cabaret and live theatre.   She has performed across a wide variety of musical genres.  Sandy has gained valuable international experience working in a variety of duo and cabaret acts in Jakarta, Japan, the Middle East and London where she peformed with The Mike Smith Orchestra.  At home, her musical and performance adaptability has allowed her to work in a diverse range of venues spanning the traditional Aussie pub to residencies at Sydney's Sheraton Wentworth, Hilton and Manly Radisson Hotels.  Career highlights include support for James Morrison at the Cairns Jazz Festical, Jazz under the Stars and support slots for INXS.  Sandy has taught voice over the last few decades and currently teaches out of Buzz Music, Cairns.  Her latest venture, The Sandy Marland Jazz Blues Trio culminates her passion for the voices of Jazz and Jazz Blues, both old and contemporary.
